Victoria Beckham is a mogul, wife and mother. There is no limit to her ability to plan an execute anything she puts her mind to. This year marks the 8th year since she launched her much awaited clothing label and brand, Victoria Beckham. Her career and CV is lengthly, impressive. Victoria is an inspiration I personally believe to all woman out there.
Being in her 8th year of her luxury fashion label, Victoria has always collaborated with various brands throughout her career. Rock & Republic, Nails Inc, Marc Jacobs and Rocawear to name a few.
This autumn following her amazing and successful NYFW presentation Victoria also debuted a new make up line in collocation with Estée Lauder. Estée Lauder is an entity within itself. It houses all the major perfumery and cosmetic brands within the world.
I was invited to the launch party of the make up brand at Selfridges and lucky enough to meet the beautiful Victoria who was so elegant, humble and inspiring.
Victoria presented the make up against a backdrop of 4 models, each one demonstrating the looks she had created through colour palettes depicting cities that she travels to and spends time- LA, New York, London and Paris.
Victoria explained how she had worked on the collaboration and been approached by Estée Lauder all because of a limited edition highlighting powder that she used. The collaboration began when Estée Lauder created a powder that was discontinued. Victoria bulk brought the product and eventually ran out and could not get it anymore. Victoria called the company and they suggested collaborating on a make up line. This product Victoria has now recreated within her limited collection for the mega brand. The limited edition powder- ‘modern Mercury’ highlighter.
What I learnt from Victoria and I think every woman can learn from her is the passion she has for success and her incredible work ethic. Her presentation and delivery of the launch was clear concise and very powerful. The launch party consisted of her friends, clients and her family. What was also quite remarkable was the amount of fans waiting for Victoia
Victoria entered with her team and Sarah Creal who participated in creating the products with Victoria. They both spoke about the creative process behind the products. The star product is the ‘Morning Aura’- a moisturizer, primer and illuminator in one. The concept behind this product was that Victoria travels a lot – sometimes with 4 kids and wanted a product that helped her look refreshed. Voila, the product Morning Aura was born.
The packing of the products are black with a rose gold piping. The gold used is the actual gold hardware used on her handbags. This make up global scale and I think this is just the tip of the iceberg for Victoria Beckham. I see a Hennes collaboration on the horizon as anything Victoria touches seemingly turns to Gold…
