NEW YORK, New York Fashion week in association with Harpers Baazar presented the new collection of Kimora Lee Simmons brand KLS.
After the creative success of Babyphat, Kimora has since rebranded and created a sleek new brand.
There was a time in early naughts that Kimora Lee Simmons and her Baby Phat line had a certain cultural cache that went beyond “ghetto fabulous.”
Since stepping down as Creative Director in 2010, Kimora Simmons had struggled juggling other brands and dabbling.
Kimora has since made a return to fashion with a new self-titled line.
Her new collection and fashion show presentation displayed her new reformed brand.
Hosted by Harper’s Bazaar stylist Anita Patrickson. The label demonstrated a new Redefined, chic and classy remodeled new brand. Using smart tailoring and excellent fabric. Kimora stated that a lot of her clients are Korean who are very thin. But Kimora has curves.
She emphasized the fact that she has designed this collection for women on the ‘move’. So the designs reflected this – the garments will always look good throughout the day because they are strong and camaflaging fabrics.
